One reason we enjoy working at large Riviera Maya resorts is that we can change the look of the photographs without disappearing for an hour. Gardens, pathways, architecture, beach and shoreline can all be used within a relatively short portrait session.

That lets us create a mix of relaxed images, close portraits and more dramatic photographs while still getting the couple back to their guests.

From Sunset to the Reception

As the light disappears, the photographs change with it. The soft Caribbean colors give way to reception lighting, speeches, first dances and the part of the wedding where everyone finally stops worrying about the schedule.

This is where we switch from directing photographs to watching for them. The hugs, dancing, reactions and ridiculous moments on the dance floor are usually the photographs that make people smile years later.
