Deciding to use Lincoln and MTM Photography as the artist to capture the spirit of our wedding was the BEST thing we did.
Lincoln went above and beyond making sure we knew exactly which services we would be receiving. Who would be at the wedding and so glad Lincoln was there!!! Most importantly, that we felt comfortable throughout the whole day. The strong communication stayed past our wedding day. Lincoln checked in often providing several proofs, updates on processing dates. My wife and I honestly feel as if we've gained a friend. Everyone who has seen our photos has kind words to say and comment on the authenticity and realism on film.
My wife surprised me with a "trash the dress" shoot before the wedding. Which allowed us to get to know Lincoln and his unique style before hand. The smiles and laughter in the photos are 100% genuine. The beautiful photos capture a truly unforgettable experience.

Lincoln did a amazing job coming through for me in the clutch. I had planned a sunrise surprise proposal at The Royal Playa del Carmen.
My original photographer had gone silent the day before. We were to leave on our trip to the Mexican Caribbean and I was left hanging! I did some research on yelp to find destination wedding photographers. Lincoln had great reviews! I emailed and reached out to him. He consistently responded and made himself available.
If you haven’t been to Riviera Maya before and need someone you can rely on, Lincoln is your man. Thanks for coming through and saving my trip and surprise! You made our love story something my fiancé and I will always remember.
By the way, you need to get up at 6am if you want to catch a beach sunrise in Playa. Otherwise, you can catch a sunset if you take a ferry over to Cozumel. Also, Isla Mujeres if you in the in Cancun area!
ps: The sunrise and sunset are the same amazing golden light!

Highly recommended! Planning a wedding in Mexico all the way from Canada can be stressful at times. You are never really sure what you will get.
Photography is an extremely important part of a wedding and we knew right from the start that. If we left the photography in the hands of Lincoln, we would not have to worry! The photos online were so impressive and were exactly what we wanted from our big day.
We emailed Lincoln and he was extremely easy to communicate with. He was always honest and upfront on everything we weren’t sure about. Lincoln and Silvina showed up on our wedding day and made it a great experience for all of us! They are the loveliest photographers and make an amazing team!
Running non-stop, they were able to capture unique and special memories of our day. The photos are beautiful and amazing! We are so incredibly happy that we had Lincoln and Silvina capture the photography for our love story.
Thank you so much MTM for your amazing work. We will be looking at our wedding photos for years to come!!
Why I Love Wedding Photography – Moments That Matter Most
What Photography Means to Me
Photography, to me, is the magic of freezing time — capturing fleeting moments that would otherwise slip away. It’s about being fully present in the now… the quick glance before a kiss, the connection in your eyes, the spark between a newly married couple just moments after saying “I do.”
Think of me as your personal fashion photographer — whether you’re a model or not! You don’t have to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll gently guide you every step of the way, always watching for those unscripted, emotional moments — even the ones you don’t realize are happening.
Over the years, I’ve trained dozens of photographers, including some you may speak with during the planning process. What I teach them — and what I live by — is simple: the magic is everywhere. You can’t wait for it. You have to be ready, always. I often take over 1,000 images per hour — that’s a photo nearly every four seconds — because I know how quickly a moment can disappear.
You only get one shot at these memories. And I’ll be there to make sure you don’t miss a single one.
Having a Symbolic Wedding? Here’s What You Should Know
Nearly half of the weddings I capture are symbolic — and for good reason! It’s a fantastic way to skip the stress of Mexican legal paperwork and focus on the part that truly matters: your love and celebration. Most couples handle the legal side back home, either before or after their destination wedding.
With that in mind, here’s my best advice to make the magic real:
You’ll likely treat your destination wedding date as your official anniversary — so do NOT (I repeat, do NOT) get legally married before coming to Mexico!
Why? After photographing hundreds of symbolic ceremonies, I’ve seen firsthand that something changes once a couple is legally married. Even if it was just a courthouse ceremony back home, something about that “I do” moment already feels done. You’ve crossed a mental line.
But when you save that legal moment — even just symbolically — for the beach in Mexico, surrounded by your loved ones, it becomes the moment. Locking eyes for the first time and saying those vows makes everything more powerful. That’s the instant your new adventure as husband and wife truly begins.
Save the paperwork for when you get home. Trust me… you only get one chance to make it unforgettable.
Sample Wedding Day Timeline for Photography
Every wedding is unique—but having a timeline helps everything flow smoothly. Below is a suggested 6-hour wedding day coverage schedule based on a 5pm ceremony and 7pm reception sunset. Once you book with us, we’ll send you a personalized planner to tailor this timeline to your specific day.
Our Recommended Wedding Photography Flow
-
-
Assuming a 5pm Beach Ceremony time and 7pm Sunset Reception time:
-
-
3:00 PM – Getting Ready (Both photographers split up to capture bridal and groom prep)
-
5:00 PM – Ceremony Coverage (Both MTM photographers work together to capture it all)
-
5:30 PM – Family Portraits and Wedding Party Photos
-
6:00 PM – Couples Portraits (Golden Hour magic before sunset!)
-
7:00 PM – Reception Arrival (We capture décor, cake cutting, and first dances)
-
8:00 PM – Reception Party Begins (Dancing, drinks, speeches, and beach celebrations!)
-
9:00 PM – Wrap up wedding coverage before the tequila kicks in!
We’re flexible with the timeline to ensure your story is told exactly how you envision it. From first look to last dance, we’ll make sure not a single moment is missed.
How Much Wedding Coverage Do I Need?
If you’ve already booked your venue and chosen your date—your photographer should be next! Don’t stress about how many hours you need right now. First, let’s make sure your date is available.
Once you're booked in, we’ll send a personalized planning worksheet to help figure out what coverage works best for your day. You’re never locked into a specific package—we're flexible, and changes can be made at any time. We're here to help you tell your story exactly how you want it captured.
Do I have to buy a meal for you at the reception?
For packages that include coverage during/past your dinner reception, please be sure to include 2 photographers and/or 2 videographers in the dinner reception.
This does not have to be your reception dinner. This can include items from the room service menu. As well, we prefer to have a seat/table off to the side, so we have a place for our equipment. We will be getting up and running around to catch kissing/events/speeches/etc during the dinner!
Note: Please ask your wedding coordinator to make sure we are served right after you but before guests. That way we have time to finish eating before anything happens. Often they tend to serve us last and we have no time to eat before things start to happen.
Do You Edit or Touch Up Wedding Photos?
Yes! All editing is done in-house—no outsourcing. Unlike some companies, I don’t send your images to third-party editors because editing is part of our creative vision.
I personally edit for:
-
Exposure, colors, white balance, and composition
-
Skin tones and blemishes
-
Removing distracting objects, people, and unwanted appearances!
Not every photo is meant to be "perfect"—some of the most emotional and authentic moments shine because of their imperfections. And if there’s ever an image you’d like edited differently, just let me know. I’m happy to make any adjustments you need!
Best Time for Your Ceremony to
Capture Sunset Photos
To capture golden-hour magic, we recommend starting your ceremony at least 2 hours before sunset. In the Riviera Maya, sunset light disappears fast—within 20 minutes—so timing is crucial!
If your current ceremony time doesn’t allow enough daylight for portraits, you have three great options:
-
Adjust the ceremony start time
-
Plan a “first look” for earlier portraits
-
Use golden hour for newlywed photos and then switch to creative flash lighting afterward
Pro tip: Family formals usually happen right after the ceremony, so consider which portraits matter most to you when setting your timeline.
How Long Does It Take to Receive My
Wedding Photos?
Our average delivery timeline is 8 to 10 weeks for weddings and 2 to 4 weeks for family sessions. During this time, we carefully edit and enhance your images to bring out their full potential. Processing times can vary depending on the season and how many sessions we’re editing. In busy months, it can take up 12 - 14 weeks.
We always aim to deliver as quickly as possible. If there's any reason your online gallery is delayed, we’ll be in touch to keep you updated.
Do I Get All the Wedding Photos? What About the Rights?
On an average wedding day, we capture 1000 photos per hour. While we don’t deliver every single image, we carefully select the best ones that tell your wedding story beautifully, and we don’t hold back to a specific number or limit!
You’ll receive fully edited online gallery of full-resolution files with complete printing and sharing rights. That means you can:
-
Download and Print your photos at any lab you choose
-
Create albums, thank you cards, or canvas prints
-
Share on social media without restrictions
They’re your memories—you should be free to enjoy them however you like!
What If I Found a Cheaper Photography Package? Can You Match It?
We understand that you're comparing options—and that's a good thing. The most important decision is choosing a photographer whose work and personality truly speak to you. Every photographer offers different pricing and styles.
While we do run promotions from time to time, our pricing is structured to be fair for everyone. We won’t lower a price for one couple and charge more for another—we believe in transparency and integrity.
If another quote seems too good to be true, ask yourself... WHY?. Many people will tell you exactly what you want to hear to get your business. We're confident in the service we offer, and we want you to feel 100% confident, too!
Let's have a quick chat via iMessage or WhatsApp and see if we are the right fit for you!
