About Lincoln Lehmann | Riviera Maya
Wedding Photographer
I’m Lincoln, founder of Moments That Matter Photography. Since 2009, I’ve captured weddings across Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, focusing on bold color, authentic emotion, and stress-free experiences for destination couples.
My Philosophy
I’ve always had a passion for photography, but wedding photography in the Riviera Maya has challenged and inspired me like nothing else. I don’t work with models — I work with real couples. Weddings unfold fast, in every type of light, weather, and location. My job is to anticipate, react, and capture the fleeting emotions of the day so you can relive them forever.
What I love most is showing clients images they never imagined possible. You may not be a professional model, but my approach brings out natural beauty and genuine connection. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and fully present while I capture the moments that matter most
Experience & Approach
I began shooting weddings professionally in 2009 and have photographed hundreds of destination weddings in Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum since then. Every wedding is unique, and I customize my photography to your story, your location, and your personalities.
With the support of a fantastic team, we go above and beyond for each couple — whether that means lying on the sand, wading into the ocean, or running through a resort to get the perfect angle. Couples trust us because we combine professionalism with creativity and a relaxed energy that keeps the day easy and fun.

Awards & Recognition
I’m honored to be an International Award-Winning Wedding Photographer, a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, and a recipient of WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards. These recognitions reflect our commitment to storytelling, consistency, and making couples feel cared for.

Words of Advice for Couples
After hundreds of weddings, I’ve learned a few things worth sharing:
-
Photographers are behind the scenes all day — we’ll capture the story, but we’re not meant to be part of your pictures unless you want us there.
-
Our “uniform” is built for movement — crouching, lying in sand, running through waves — so we can get unique angles.
-
Sometimes the best shot means we get dirty or climb, kneel, or lay on the ground. It’s all part of capturing the magic.
In short: trust us, relax, and enjoy your day.
