James first contacted me with his plan to surprise his soon to be fiance with a sunrise surprise proposal at the Hilton Playa del Carmen. After a few emails, we figured out a plan to tell her that there was an excursion on the beach that he booked for them. A Mayan sunrise ceremony where a shaman would welcome in the sun as a ritual that the Mayans do in ancient times!
This would also "trick" her into getting dressed up for the occasion and still be none the wiser on what the real plan was!
We arrived at the Hilton Playa del Carmen just before 6am and met up with James on the beach to solidify the plan. He went back to get Alexis just as the sun was coming up and before you knew it, he was down on one knee and tears started to flow. We were hiding around the gazebo to take in the action without her knowing we were there for them!
The rest... well... he is how it went! :-)
